Traditionally Muslims and Christians, and the different Christian denominations, have lived in their own quarters in Nazareth, usually close to their religious institutions. However, life has always been integrated. Here the minaret of the White Mosque and the towers of the Greek Catholic church can be seen side by side. (July 2003)
