A prayer tent erected by Muslims close to the base of the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. This picture, taken a year before the police operation, shows that most of the concrete foundations had already been laid by this stage. The Muslims claim the site as holy because it stands next to a small tomb supposedly of Shihab a-Din, a nephew of Salah a-Din, the nemesis of the Crusaders. (July 2002)
