Two former inhabitants of Lifta exchange recollections. They and their families were expelled to East Jerusalem in 1948, which is why today they have the right to enter Israel and visit the old village. Most of Lifta’s other refugees, who live in the West Bank, are banned from entering Israel and by extension Lifta. (February 2005)
