A sack full of empty tear gas and stun grenade cannisters, collected by local inhabitants after hundreds of police stormed the village of Beaneh on February 25 2004 to demolish five houses. Several homeowners and council officials who tried to negotiate were severely beaten with batons, and children at a nearby kindergarten needed hospital treatment after tear gas was fired into their playground. According to the markings of the cannisters many were produced by the “Defense Technology Corporation of America”. (May 2004)
