Children come to play in a national park in the Golan, overlooking the Syrian ghost town of Kuneitra. The park offers them the chance to relive the battle in 1967 in which the Israeli army cleared Kuneitra of its inhabitants. There are statues of Israeli soldiers in action as well as gun emplacements from which the children can practise their shooting skills. (October 2003)
