The outside of the mosque of Ayn al-Zeitoun is covered in Hebrew graffiti. Inside the walls are pocked with bullet holes, suggesting it has been used for rifle practice, and the floor covered in cow pats. Intermittently the building has been used by local Jewish farmers as a barn. (August 2005)
