One of the few homes still standing in the destroyed Palestinian village of Akbara, a few kilometres south of Safed. The village, originally comprising 60 houses, was ethnically cleansed on 11 May 1948 by the Palmach. Today families from a neighbouring Palestinian village who collaborated with the Jewish state against the Arab forces in 1948 use the land and derelict buildings for their farm animals.
