MEETING ME
In recent years a growing number of visitors to Nazareth have asked if I will meet them to talk about the political situation in Israel and Palestine, or to give interviews. If available, I am always happy to do so. Generally, I find meetings in the form of a question-and-answer session are the most interesting for participants, as well as for me. Such talks take up an increasing portion of my time but I do not want, or intend, to limit them. However, given the ever-greater pressures of working as a freelance journalist in Nazareth, I feel that larger groups – as opposed to individuals and small groups – should contribute towards my costs. I am also willing to guide day or half-day tours
of Nazareth and/or the neighbouring destroyed Palestinian village of Saffuriya,
3km from Nazareth. These would focus on social and political issues, but could
also be tailored to include cultural elements, such as a home-cooked Palestinian
meal or attending an oud recital. If this is of interest, I can be contacted by
email to agree a schedule.
